| Canadian Journal of Law & Society
The Canadian Journal of Law and Society is committed to publishing innovative research that speaks to theoretical and empirical questions in law and society scholarship. Recent articles published in CJLS/RCDS examined women’s imprisonment in Canada, race and law in Australia, legal pluralism and healthcare in Nigeria, documentaries on same-sex marriage in Canada and the U.S., the human rights of migrant care workers, and recognition claims in criminal law.
CJLS/RCDS is a bilingual peer-reviewed journal with a wide circulation in Canada and beyond. It is housed at Carleton University, Ottawa. We invite original submissions in either French or English.
The Journal is published twice yearly with the support of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the office of the Vice-President, Research, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Affairs and the Department of Law, Carleton University. In addition, CJLS/RCDS publishes thematic special issues. Forthcoming special issues address, for example, administrative discretion and legal pluralism.
